Greenwave Wi-Fi Controlled LED Light Bulbs Screw & Play - LEDs are being used for all types of Applications outside of the home.
If you think that the only applications for LED lights are at home you’ve probably never worked as any type of technician in the field. Those people that do however know that a safe, efficient and reliable light-source is one of the most important tools to have and can even be a life saver is demanding and dangerous situations, some of which they encounter on a regular basis.
OTC knows this. As a division of Service Solutions, manufacturer of many different types of specialized tools, they know that lighting is important for the men and women working in many different industries. Their new line of waterproof-grade LED lights were designed with safety and efficiency in mind.
On the safety side the new lights have a magnetic base and a swivel body to be able to point the light where it needs to be, hands-free. The magnetic base allows the application of the lights to many different surfaces including metal containers. They’re impact and water resistant with a rubberized coating that makes them easier to handle.
On the efficiency side they come with a lithium-ion battery that provides extra hours of light when there are no energy sources available but also have both AC and DC chargers, are said to have a work-life of 50,000 hours.
One of the extra benefits of these new LED lights is that the field technician can adjust the light spectrum to match the type of environment that they encounter, reducing eye-fatigue and allowing for a better view of important work with better precision too.
OTC has an entire line-up for the new lights, including the Solar Spectrum which includes a 10 watt LED work light along with a UV LED light on top of the device. This is a boon to tracing or detecting different kinds of leaks and also in smoke detection when the need arises.
The Spectrum Trio offers a 9 watt LED work light and a 3 watt LED spot light on top that is used when the need for an intense light source is needed. Technicians checking, for example, brakes, wheels and suspensions systems of large work vehicles can use this intense light to detect problems or defects that may cause accidents during future use.
This is just another example of the way LED lights are being used to provide full-spectrum light to workers in all types of industries and professions. LED’s are safe, efficient and, as you now know, made for more than just lighting the kitchen or den.
